Topic: Stock and Bond Complexities
Richard Ogg, EA will review both the usual tax rates for capital gain income and the unusual for collectibles and small business stock. He will cover computing basis in several different situations, such as acquisition by inheritance or gift, via stock splits, spinoffs and mergers. Richard will discuss items requiring special tax treatment, such as tax-exempt bonds and California taxation of US bond funds.
